Description of Position: The church is seeking a lead pastor who can develop people as disciples who make disciples. The pastor will need to create a clear system and structure for how people can get connected, be discipled, serve, be cared for, multiply, and reach the community, etc. Currently, a transitional pastor is guiding the elders and members to discern the greatest needs in their church so they can best be positioned to impact their community with the Gospel.
Description of Church's Location: ValleyView Alliance Church serves the communities of Hallam Borough, Hellam Township, and Wrightsville in York County, Pennsylvania. Hallam is a small residential borough in south-central Pennsylvania, situated just east of York and offering convenient access to Lancaster and Harrisburg. The church is located in the lower Susquehanna River valley region, providing a close-knit community atmosphere while remaining within easy reach of larger urban centers.
Minimum Education Level: Associates's Degree (Including or in addition to a minimum of 30 credit hours of Bible, theology, and ministry study)
Minimum Credential Level: Must be willing to begin the Alliance ordination process
Minimum Years of Experience: The ideal candidate has at least four years of experience as a lay leader.

Church Vision: ValleyView is in the midst of retooling its mission and vision to be more effective in making disciples in their community.
Church History: ValleyView Alliance Church launched in January 1985. By October of that year, the young church achieved accredited status, laying a strong foundation for four decades of faithful ministry in the York County community. In those early pioneering days, Rev. John Stumbo—who would later become President of The Christian and Missionary Alliance—served as one of the church's first pastors from 1985 to 1987, helping establish the church's spiritual DNA. Since then, ValleyView has been blessed with faithful pastoral leadership. As ValleyView celebrates 40 years of ministry in 2025, the church continues its mission to make disciples in their community.
