The specialist ensures that technology tools are configured to support real-world workflows, equips staff with the knowledge and confidence to use them effectively, and helps the organization realize the full value of its technology investments.
In the performance of these responsibilities, this position will support the overall mission of the C&MA as described below.
Specific Duties
Training Design and Delivery
- Design, develop, and deliver training programs for core IT tools, including onboard training for new staff, role-specific training, refresher training, and rollout training for new tools or features
- Build and maintain training materials in multiple formats (live sessions, recorded modules, written guides, quick reference materials) appropriate for the diverse needs of National Office staff, Alliance Missions workers, and other ministry contexts
- Schedule and deliver training on a cadence that supports organizational priorities and AOM needs
Tool Configuration and Workflow Support
- Work with each AOM to understand their workflows and translate those workflows into appropriate configurations of core platforms (ClickUp spaces, SharePoint structures, MS Teams, M365 settings, etc.)
- Maintain configuration standards that allow each AOM to work the way they need to while maintaining platforms that support cross-AOM collaboration and reporting
- Serve as the day-to-day administrator for core IT-supported tools, handling configuration changes, user provisioning within tools, and lifecycle management
Adoption Tracking and Continuous Improvement
- Define, track, and report on adoption metrics for core tools (active usage, feature utilization, training completion, user satisfaction)
- Identify adoption gaps and partner with AOM leaders to address them
- Use adoption data to inform ongoing training priorities, configuration changes, and tool stewardship decisions
Migration and Change Support
- Lead the user-facing components of migrations from legacy tools to new core platforms
- Build migration plans, communicate timelines, train users on the new state, and partner with AOM leaders to drive participation
- Support sunsetting of retired tools with appropriate user offboarding and knowledge preservation
Reporting and Insights Support
- Train end users on how to access, interpret, and use organizational reports and dashboards
- Coordinate with the Software Engineering team and other IT stakeholders on report-related requests and improvements
Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with AOM leaders and identified champions to ensure training and adoption efforts are coordinated and effective
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for AOM staff seeking guidance on core tools
- Partner with the broader IT team – IT Services, Software Engineering, and Infrastructure & Security – to ensure adoption considerations are part of major technology decisions
The Christian and Missionary Alliance (The Alliance, the C&MA) was birthed in 1887 from a vision of Pastor A. B. Simpson in New York City, who became heartbroken over the plight of the homeless, the immigrant, and the marginalized. Today, we share his passion to offer tangible help and lasting hope to the world’s neediest people.
We believe that from the beginning of time, God set in motion a loving plan for humanity that is carried out in each of us through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. We believe the best way to see this plan fulfilled is by extending His love to those who have yet to experience it.
Through over 1,900 churches in the United States and nearly 700 workers in 70 countries, we pay forward the love of Jesus to suffering and overlooked people in our communities and throughout the world through a wide variety of developmental and compassionate care projects and initiatives.
Because the C&MA is a Christ-centered global movement, we place a high value on employing a diverse, multicultural workforce to accomplish His Great Commission. Accordingly, we will be proactive throughout our hiring process to embrace and cultivate racial and ethnic diversity among our U.S. National Office staff.
