Level: 8 – 10 hours/Week with no benefits

Reports to: District Superintendent

Compensation: $1,200 / month

Brief Description

The Director of Licensing, Ordination & Consecration (DLOC) of the Central Pacific District (CPD) shall work with the District Superintendent in serving the leaders and churches of the CPD. The DLOC is tasked with a responsibility to raise up new leaders. Shall be responsible for strategically directing and coordinating all activities related to the accreditation, licensing, ordination & consecration of pastors and leaders to serve in the Central Pacific District.

Qualifications

  • Ordained / consecrated by the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA).
  • Working knowledge of the C&MA Manual, especially in the areas of accreditation, licensing, ordination & consecration, certification, and discipline, restoration & appeal.
  • In agreement with C&MA theology and polity.

Primary Duties:

  • Work with the Director of Leadership Development to prepare leaders for accreditation.
  • Work with applicants to complete the process and review the application files for completeness.
  • Oversee the licensing and certification function by updating and maintaining the worker records.
  • Develop, train, equip, and encourage ordinands to prepare them for ordination & consecration.
  • Develop, train, equip, and encourage ordination mentors.
  • Organize accreditation and ordination & consecration interviews, including scheduling monthly on-call teams.
  • Organize ordination seminars and in-service ordinands’ retreat.
  • Call ordinands at least once every 2 months.
  • Attend District Leadership Team meetings as requested.
  • Oversee the discipline, restoration, and appeal process.

Critical Outcomes for this Role

  • CPD will license 100 new workers in the next five years.
  • Communicate effectively with the ordinands and mentors so that they receive regular updates.
  • Worker records are accurate and current.
  • Manage role of Administrative Assistant for LO&CC.
  • Ordinands and mentors feel well supported.
