Job Title: Hutchinson Campus Pastor
Accountable To: Executive Pastor
Position Status: Salaried, exempt
Direct Reports: Campus Staff, Volunteers
Summary and Purpose
The Campus Pastor clearly communicates and implements the vision, purpose, and core-values of Freshwater while providing pastoral care and leadership for the congregation at their campus.
Responsible to carry out the purpose of Freshwater: To REACH non-believing individuals, CONNECT them with other Christians, help them GROW in their faith, SERVE others and HONOR Christ.
Responsibilities
Campus Leadership
- Build relationships with potential members and existing ones
- Lead the development of the Hutchinson campus
- Oversee all ministry teams for weekend services at campus including: Worship, Kids ministry, and First Impressions teams
- Follow up with guests and help them take next steps
- Ensure facility is functional, organized, and clean
- Recruit volunteers for serve teams at campus and implement leadership development process
Pastoral Care
- Serve on the Ministry Leadership Team (MLT) to provide insight, assist in the design and development of ministries.
- Identify problems and find solutions in a complex environment.
- Counsel individuals and couples as needed.
- Perform weddings and funerals as requested.
- Assist the crisis care ministry (with others) for hospital visits, death in family, marriage issues, etc.
- Develop and implement a plan for ongoing leadership training and encouragement, and ensure all ministries he is responsible for are raising up leaders through the leadership
- Provide general ministry oversight and assistance as needed and assigned.
Teaching Team
- Assist the Lead Pastor with message series planning
- Be a part of the teaching team for planning discussions and providing feedback on weekly messages
Qualifications
- Strong desire to see lives in the local community transformed by the gospel and the Church mobilized to live out the Great Commission.
- A person skilled in recruiting, training, vision casting, and developing others.
- A mature and tested faith in Jesus Christ with a strong knowledge of the Bible.
- Ability to work independently and to complete tasks within established timeframes.
- Ability to work effectively with members, ministry leaders, and teams.
- The successful individual must have a proven track record of effective leadership, judgment and above reproach character.
- Bachelor degree.
