Children's Ministries Coordinator

Valley View Chapel, in Long Valley, NJ, seeks a Christ-centered individual to become its Children’s Ministries Coordinator. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Lead Pastor, and carries the following responsibilities:

1. Lead Valley View Chapel’s efforts to express the love of Jesus to children ages 0-5th grade and their families regardless of their faith position or affiliation with VVC.

2. Oversee engaging, inviting and fun programming for kids and families from VVC and its larger communities. This programming will be…

• Consistent with Valley View Chapel’s discipleship framework and will produce measurable outcomes.
• Reliably delivered and age appropriate to VVC’s various children’s age divisions.
• Well communicated to parents and volunteers.
• Meaningfully connected with other VVC discipleship efforts.

3. Recruit and equip teams of volunteers who are clear on expectations and able to fulfill them.

4. Contribute as directed to the broader Valley View Chapel ministry team.

The ideal candidate for this position is:

1. A genuine and growing disciple of Jesus Christ.

2. Called to minister to children and their families.

3. Fully supportive of the faith statements and ministry guidelines of Valley View Chapel and The Christian & Missionary Alliance. • If not licensed by the C&MA Metro District, licensed within one year of start.

4. Loving, creative and people-focused

5. Able to recruit, lead and equip volunteers and manage the systems in which they operate

6. Understanding of and responsive to age-based developmental and learning needs and the stages of faith found in a local church and its community

7. Competent in digital media and communication and able to support the ministry through these means.

8. Eager to engage Metro District and other resources for professional growth and networking.
