General Description:
Pine Knolls Alliance Church is a growing church family that exists to experience and share the hope and healing of Jesus. The ideal candidate for this position will advance the vision of Pine Knolls in the area of Kids Ministry. This individual will excel in developing systems of discipleship for children, oversight of large-group programming, developing meaningful connections with families, and equipping student and adult volunteer leaders.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for Sunday morning ministry (birth through fifth grade).
• Provide leadership for midweek ministry (birth through fifth grade).
• Provide leadership for seasonal outreach/discipleship ministry programs designed for children.
• Display comfort teaching in large and small group settings.
• Recruit and develop student and adult volunteer leaders.
• Cultivate healthy relationships with children and their families.
• Serve as a dedicated and collaborative team member alongside the PKA staff.
• Serve as a member of the ministry staff team.
• Manage the administrative elements of Kids Ministry pertaining to communication and finances.
• Participate in the life of the church through involvement with all-church programming/ministries/service opportunities and cultivating relationships.

Personal/Professional Qualifications:

• Demonstrates a growing relationship with Christ.
• Gifted in discipleship with a passion for fostering spiritual growth in children.
• Demonstrates stable leadership through responsible and wise decision-making.
• Two Years of experience leading a kids ministry program or combination of experience/education in a related field
• Hold beliefs that are consistent with the C&MA Statement of Faith, Polity, Core Values – cmalliance.org.
• Agreement and ownership of PKA Vision & Values – pineknolls.org.

Breakdown of Role:

• Kids Ministry Planning and Programming (70%)
• Cultivating Relationships with kids and families (15%)
• Meetings/Administration (15%)
