Crossbridge Alliance Church is a vibrant, growing church that is looking to hire a full-time Associate Pastor. Compensation for this position is competitive and will be based on previous experience. Our church of 200 people is located in scenic Cheyenne, Wyoming with incredible access to the great outdoors and larger communities such as Fort Collins and Denver. We have an amazing opportunity for an Associate Pastor to step in and feel empowered in their ministry and bring fresh ideas to the table. Our church and staff want to encourage you to utilize your ministry gifts and develop them. There is tremendous potential to reach the youth and families in our area and to build a program that matches your vision and calling. Our current youth and children’s ministries are growing and we need a dedicated minister in place to continue to grow these ministries and develop a plan to grow these students as disciples of Jesus. Purpose:

To build up God’s Kingdom through discipleship and equipping the next generation and their families to do the work of God in our community and around the world.

Expectations:

Children’s and Student Ministries:

• Oversee a program for the spiritual development of youth from birth through the end of high school.
• Partner with the children’s ministry team. This team includes volunteer leaders from Children’s Church, Nursery, and Sunday School. The Associate Pastor will work with these teams to evaluate the effectiveness of their ministries. You are empowering others to do the work of ministry.
• Serve as the primary leader of the Crossbridge Alliance Church youth group. This would include coordinating weekly youth gatherings, special events throughout the year, and outreach opportunities to East High School located across the street.
• Be available throughout the week to meet with youth and their families. We want somebody who is relationally gifted.
• Coordinate special events like LIFE Conference, summer camp, youth missions trips, school lunches, etc.
• Continue the cultivation of a volunteer friendly environment in conjunction with the lead pastor and other ministry leaders.
• Communicate information and promote opportunities for children and adults to grow through involvement in children’s and student ministries.
• Lead in the planning and development of outreach ministries for children, youth, and families.
• Continually focus leaders and volunteers on the central task of making disciples for God’s glory.

Other Ministries:

• Assist in Sunday services as agreed upon with the lead pastor.
• Participate in regular staff meetings and as a guest at Governing Board/Elder meetings.
• Availability for baptisms, weddings, funerals, counseling and visitation.
• Involvement and investment in the community is a must.
• Take advantage of training opportunities for personal and ministry development.
• Must be accreditable, accredited and/or consecrated/ordained by the Christian and Missionary Alliance. An Alliance background is preferred.
• Develop evangelism and discipleship approaches in conjunction with church leaders and volunteers.
• Accomplish other tasks as assigned by the lead pastor

Relationships:

• The Associate Pastor is directly accountable to the Lead Pastor and secondarily to the Governing Board.
• The Associate Pastor will report to the congregation at the annual meeting, detailing major activities and ministry updates.
• You will have the opportunity to attend regional, district, and national activities of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.

Qualifications

• You must have a strong, demonstrated relationship with Jesus Christ. This relationship guides and directs all areas of your life and character.
• An undergraduate degree or greater from an accredited Bible college or seminary.
• Have a passion for reaching kids, students, and their parents.
• Strong verbal communicator with relational skills.
• Clear passion and energy for ministry that is partnered with a strong work ethic.
• Must be committed to living in Cheyenne. We feel that this is essential for community involvement.
• Collaborative team-player.
• Prior church experience is helpful.
