Sound Technician

Sound Technician

Status: Part-Time

Location: Assigned CenterPoint Campus (Non-Broadcast)

Position Overview

We’re looking for a skilled and dependable Sound Technician to oversee and execute the audio and help with the visual production needs at one of our non-broadcast campuses. This role plays a key part in ensuring our weekend services and midweek events run smoothly, helping people connect with God free from distraction.

You’ll work with the campus pastor, worship leader, and technical arts team to deliver a high- quality, distraction-free worship environment. If you're passionate about sound and worship — and you want to use your skills to advance the gospel—we'd love to talk with you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and mix FOH audio during weekend worship services, rehearsals, and church events using X32 and Midas consoles
  • Program lighting presets for services using Onyx and LiteJockey software to support a dynamic and consistent worship experience
  • Support weekly worship rehearsals, providing reliable mixing and ensuring all systems are ready for Sunday
  • Maintain clean and organized stage and tech areas, including cables, equipment, and storage
  • Assist with stage setup and teardown for services and events as needed
  • Provide A/V support for occasional special events such as baptisms, worship nights, and holiday services
  • Collaborate with worship and campus leadership to troubleshoot sound issues and support evolving service needs

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of FOH mixing, preferably with X32 or Midas boards
  • Experience with lighting software (Onyx/LiteJockey) and presentation software, ProPresenter (We will train you on this)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • A team player with strong communication and follow-through
  • A growing personal relationship with Jesus and a desire to serve the local church
