Title of Position: Lead Pastor (Part-Time)

Location: The small town of Stroudsburg, PA lies in the beautiful Pocono Mountain region in northeast Pennsylvania.

Job Description: A predominantly African American church, Stroudsburg Alliance Church is seeking a lead pastor who is a good leader and teacher with a shepherd’s heart to fulfill their vision to impact their community with the Gospel. The congregation is seeking a pastor gifted in developing people to live out the Great Commission daily. The pastor will train, cultivate, and nurture church leaders to lead ministries and community engagement and to help build a culture of generosity.

Minimum Years of Experience: The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of church ministry experience and proven experience making disciples.

Minimum Education Level: If necessary, must be willing to complete the Ministerial Study Program (MSP).

Minimum Credential Level: Must be willing to complete the Alliance accreditation process.

Compensation: Bi-Vocational Salary, Health Benefits

Church Size: Less than 50 for Avg. Sunday Attendance

Church History: This historical African American church was founded over 100 years ago by Rev. William F. Johnson. Rev. Johnson was freed from slavery from a plantation in Richmond, Virginia at the age of 14.

Church Vision: Stroudsburg Alliance Church is a Christ-Centered church living out the Great Commission daily. Their vision is to create a church where the uncompromising Word of God is proclaimed and explained. Their mission is to foster an environment where a body of believers demonstrates agape love in their daily lives bonded in the love of God living by the Spirit of God.
