Requirements/Qualifications:

• Experience as preacher/teacher (particularly expository preaching)
• Deeply rooted in clear and sound Christian doctrine, fully supported by Scripture and easily understood by the congregation
• Must be able to oversee and delegate not only ministry tasks but vision as well
• Ability to balance and care for their immediate family in light of work requirements
• Ability to adapt and adopt different cultures
• Ability to honor and simultaneously contend with the Vietnamese parent church
• Ability to develop leaders and cultivate a culture of discipleship
• Ability to work with multi-generational, multicultural church members

• The ideal candidate can recognize their own strengths and see the strengths of others to help them leverage their skills sets to rebuild and grow the church.
• The ideal candidate allocates a significant portion of their time to being in Scripture in preparation to teach and equip.
• The ideal candidate is committed to shepherding and caring for a congregation through prayer and discipleship.

Church Size: 25 English-speaking members

Church History: The church was founded in 1977 as a Vietnamese C&MA church in Lancaster City. The church grew over the years, and they built their current building in 2005. There are now two Sunday services: one for the Vietnamese-speaking congregation (about 100 members), and the other for English-speaking members (25-30 members). The senior pastor and board of deacons are the governing body of the church. The assistant pastor will report to the senior pastor.

Church Vision: To rebuild Saving Grace Ministries to be an English-speaking church for all ethnic people in Lancaster and surrounding areas.
