Lakeview Community Church, part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, has faithfully served the Putnam County, NY area for the past 23 years under the leadership of our founding pastor. Located about an hour north of NYC, we are a welcoming, multi-cultural/ generational church that over 250 people call home, many of whom are young families.

The mission of LCC is to make the invisible Christ visible… in Putnam County and around the world.

Position Description

The Associate Pastor will use his unique giftings, experiences, and passions, in partnership with our Lead Pastor, to equip and empower our church body to make a multiplied Kingdom impact. This role offers potential opportunity for growth in responsibility and leadership.

Qualifications

• Clear call to ministry & passion for the greater Putnam region

• Education: Masters of Divinity (or comparable degree/ in process)

• Experience: At least three years of pastoral ministry experience.

• Licensing/ Ordination: With the C&MA (or sustaining accreditation)

Primary Responsibilities

Pastoral Ministry

• Preach at a regular interval as a part of the preaching team.
• Collaborate with Lead Pastor to provide compassionate pastoral care to individuals as needed.

Life Groups/ Disciple Making

• Lead Life Group ministry.
• Lead local community outreach strategy.
• Collaborate with ministries to create appropriate discipleship pathways for different stages of spiritual maturity.
• Track discipleship effectiveness and implement improvements with staff team.

Leadership & Ministry Development

• Resource ministry leaders, providing practical tools, guidance and encouragement
• Identify and develop leaders.
