Ministry Description

Position Title:    Pastoral Resident
Reports To:    Senior Pastor
Position Status:    Part Time/ 20 hours per week.
Purpose: The purpose is to minister to the students of our church and community in grades 6-12 and to administer, develop, and implement youth ministry programs designed to meet the spiritual, social, and emotional needs of the youth, leading them to spiritual commitments and disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Help organize and lead Sunday morning Students (currently meeting at 9:30am and using Orange Curriculum. This is separated into Jr/ Sr high)
•    Help lead Sunday night Jr./Sr High (Uses Orange curriculum. Meets together for large group and then in Jr./Sr. high small groups.
•    Work with volunteers and other student ministry staff for recruitment, planning, training budget oversight, and implementing programming (perhaps Sunday nights before Jr./Sr. high Ministry).
•    Find ways to help our students plug in to the life of the church (serving/attending worship)
•    Assists in overseeing student’s spiritual growth and student visitations.
•    Limited office hours.
•    Other duties as deemed appropriate.

Qualifications:
Character: Life demonstrates a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Education: Undergraduate degree preferred.
Experience: Demonstrated love for both churched and unchurched students, ability to speak to groups of students and work with leaders, and a love for the local church.
Requirements:  Regularly attend GAC Worship Gatherings, help lead Sunday morning student program (Jr. or Sr. high) and Sunday Night Students.
