Church Location Description: Greenview Alliance Church is located in a picturesque valley surrounded by tree-covered mountains, rivers, and creeks. There is an abundance of outdoor activities to choose from including hiking, kayaking, fishing, and hunting. The church is situated just outside the diverse city of Williamsport, PA.

Job Description: The Associate Pastor will primarily give direction and oversight to the church’s youth and family ministry, both inside and outside the church, in order to encourage them to receive Christ as their Savior and to disciple them as His followers. Secondarily, the Associate Pastor will lead the Sunday morning worship team. As a fellow member of the church, the Associate Pastor will seek to strengthen and advance the total ministry of Greenview Alliance Church by implementing a planned program of activities, by enlisting the involvement of other church members, and by personal ministry with the youth and families.

• Be a disciple of Jesus Christ and able and willing to disciple others. (Matthew 28:19-20)
• Be an example in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)
• Be able to relate well with youth and understand the unique youth culture of today.
• Be able to equip, train, encourage and support volunteer leaders with youth. (Ephesians 4:12)
• Be flexible to attend some of students outside activities.
• Be experienced with working with youth and families.
• Be teachable and willing to learn.
• Be able to maintain boundaries and priorities to protect personal and family spiritual and physical health.
• Be Licensed or Ordained (preferred) in the C&MA. If not yet ordained, pursuing ordination.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the ministry related to but not limited to, the kids and youth (planning, volunteers, background checks, etc.)
• Lead Worship Team and co-leaders
• Recruit, train, and motivate volunteers for the worship team
• Oversee Sunday morning service teams in worship and Audio/Visual; including special music
• Pray diligently over the efforts and team as a whole and provide discipleship as needed to team members
• Audio/Visual planning and purchases
• Be intentional about disciple making
• Be a member of the Council of Ministries
• Give pastoral care and counseling as needed and qualified for, to congregants.
• Provide pulpit supply in Lead-Pastor’s absence.
• Set and pursue short and long-term goals related to each specific area of ministry responsibility
• Other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.

Compensation: Full-time salary with benefits

Church size: 140 people in attendance for Sunday service

Church history: Greenview Alliance was originally known as East End Alliance and was planted over 100 years ago. The church bought land and built a new church building around 35 years ago and changed the name to Greenview Alliance Church. The former lead pastor served for 9 years and started an Awana program which reinvigorated the church and changed the demographics to younger couples with children. After a year of transition, the church hired Pastor Ron Raymer who has been serving as the lead pastor for 8 years.

Church ministry style: The church’s emphasis is on the deeper walk with Christ. They believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives and that they are called to do the things that Jesus did.
